Goodness, time has flown by since the last time I blogged....(as if it's read by anyone). My knitting projects have been "test knitting" on Ravelry...some have been very enjoyable and some I won't go back for seconds...This particular one is fun and full of cables...what impressed me about the pattern and designer was that she unraveled a sweater she bought at Goodwill!! Ah....we need to recycle as much as we can!
Hopefully she will have the pattern posted as soon as the other test knitters finish theirs and give her comments....only positive I'm sure :-)
Summer began officially two weeks ago with my girls finishing up the school year...one a freshman in H.S., the other a 7th grader....ohhhhh who would want to be 13 again??? It has been a challenge with both. The freshman is also learning to drive and KNOWS everything!! She has had a few scares behind the wheel and said today, " Driving isn't as much fun as I thought it would be"......wow...I couldn't agree more. Hopefully when she goes through the classes this summer, she will feel more comfortable behind the wheel. Right now Mom and Dad use the imaginary break, lean away from the side window and get louder as we say, "break, break, break"
Our 13 year old will go away to camp for three weeks soon...I have to label everything we want back...I am sure some clothes will be lost forever.
Hopefully I will return here with happy thoughts to share of the summer and knitting projects.

Where have I been?

Well, certainly not coming up with creative blog notes and fun knitting projects with pictures. My laptop died and I am chained to the childrens computer that is a beast....how do I hook up the camera to pictures??? duh,.....must wait till educated 12 and 14 year olds come home from higher studies to help "brain blocked/college graduate" parent. Sometimes they get more frustrated with me than their own homework.....time to learn for myself. They are still helping me with my cell phone....eeek.
I need to find the mojo to get me back into finishing a sweater I started shortly after I moved from Ohio....and the ugg boots, three pairs of socks, slippers, gloves, summer sweater, lucy bag, and the infamous dish rags......
For all who stumble across my blog....give me some inspiration to get off my #** and do something to get out of the funk of laziness......
thanxs..... :-)

blonde moment

I am sorry that I keep repeating my photos.....someday I will have this whole thing figured out and it won't look like a hodge-podge.....

Phase III

At last, the knitting is finished...is this the front? or back?
I know this is the side...... Look in here....this is a pocket, sewn to the side for easy access for a cell phone or glasses :-) Okay, now to figure out the monogram. I am thinking brown, to complement the handles.
I am going to sew the handles on with dental floss and then go over with green yarn.
Until next time and hopefully it will be the final project ;-)

Next on needles...

This is my favorite summer bag, and I always receive many compliments on the color......so I figured I could knit a bag
Here is the pattern, Felted Doctors Bag by Pipps Purses designed by Jennifer Pace. My yarn is balled and ready for action!
I had some Math to figure out....goodness my brain hurt for a while. Anyway, I figured how to make the stripes and evenly work the pattern.....this is stage one, I am finished with the front of the bag, and working the pattern in less width rows for the bottom. My hands are tired, but the colors are 2-5 rows, so it goes fast..... this will be awesome when finished and I hope to have it monogramed in chocolate brown like my fabric bag..... cool!!

Clubs and Bags

# 3 wood and driver....
Putter sock
#3 wood cute curly top

Okay, for anyone who may read my blog, I have been side tracked on making golf club covers....this is what I got from my stash of odd pieces of wool. Using dpn #7 , knitting in the round , I found a basic pattern and modified a color change....this is what I came up with. Maybe my game will improve also!!!
