Well, certainly not coming up with creative blog notes and fun knitting projects with pictures. My laptop died and I am chained to the childrens computer that is a beast....how do I hook up the camera to pictures??? duh,.....must wait till educated 12 and 14 year olds come home from higher studies to help "brain blocked/college graduate" parent. Sometimes they get more frustrated with me than their own homework.....time to learn for myself. They are still helping me with my cell phone....eeek.
I need to find the mojo to get me back into finishing a sweater I started shortly after I moved from Ohio....and the ugg boots, three pairs of socks, slippers, gloves, summer sweater, lucy bag, and the infamous dish rags......
For all who stumble across my blog....give me some inspiration to get off my #** and do something to get out of the funk of laziness......
thanxs..... :-)

blonde moment
I am sorry that I keep repeating my photos.....someday I will have this whole thing figured out and it won't look like a hodge-podge.....
Phase III
At last, the knitting is finished...is this the front? or back?
I know this is the side...... Look in here....this is a pocket, sewn to the side for easy access for a cell phone or glasses :-) Okay, now to figure out the monogram. I am thinking brown, to complement the handles.
I am going to sew the handles on with dental floss and then go over with green yarn.

Doctor bag phase II

Next on needles...
This is my favorite summer bag, and I always receive many compliments on the color......so I figured I could knit a bag
Here is the pattern, Felted Doctors Bag by Pipps Purses designed by Jennifer Pace. My yarn is balled and ready for action!
I had some Math to figure out....goodness my brain hurt for a while. Anyway, I figured how to make the stripes and evenly work the pattern.....this is stage one, I am finished with the front of the bag, and working the pattern in less width rows for the bottom. My hands are tired, but the colors are 2-5 rows, so it goes fast..... this will be awesome when finished and I hope to have it monogramed in chocolate brown like my fabric bag..... cool!!

Okay, for anyone who may read my blog, I have been side tracked on making golf club covers....this is what I got from my stash of odd pieces of wool. Using dpn #7 , knitting in the round , I found a basic pattern and modified a color change....this is what I came up with. Maybe my game will improve also!!!

needles vs. clubs
This past weekend I put down my needles and picked up my clubs and played 18 holes....(i'm the one in the middle)......my game was rusty and decided that I need new funky club covers to improve my game......ha ha.. I have to incorporate my knitting into my golf game.....
I made a sample florecent orange club cover, but I don't like it that much....will dig into the stash and see what kind of funky covers I can make.
The dogwoods were in full bloom and absolutely beautiful......Spring/summer is here ;-)

Ann Norling golf club covers....the challenge of the week
The top photo is the begining of the club cover.....k&p, decreased and increased to begin the cables.....
Second photo is the first couple of rows that show the cables emerging from this LOVELY shade of ORANGE...this cover will not be missed or lost on the golf course.....especially if you are a Tennessee Volunteer fan....I don't think I am (yet) since I am a newbie to Nashville......

Another finished project
Accomplished Tasks on vacation
FINISHED....My Tote ready to felt....and with a pocket for the inside
NO, not muddy clothes, this is the wool felting(in a pillow case) in the machine
ahaaahhhhhh, finished and soaking up the North Carolina sun.... ;-)
A beautiful ending to a wonderful knitting day....
Now...if we can only figure out how to move the house on the left so we have a straight shot of the sunsets....it is better on the beach, but I was too lazy to walk down there.
I am 3/4 of the way finished with the baby blanket, and forgot to bring the instructions to do the toe on the socks I am working on....next blog! Happy Spring

Recovery Therapy
Okay, so I am recovering from some minor surgery(female stuff)yesterday and I can't lift over 5lbs. Thank goodness I was prepared and had my yarn wound for me. This past weekend, my hubby and youngest daughter drove to Cincinnati to visit our oldest daughter and then to Dayton to see our son.....that is a lot of driving and I am the co-pilot.....got a lot of knitting done on the November Ruffle and also a baby blanket (gift) for a baby due in the next few weeks. check it out....now to begin the ruffle...

What to knit next????
Today we actually had a snow day.....yup, here in Nashville TN....we had some good size flurries, but they disappeared by noon time. The girls and I got all cozy and watched "No Reservations" while I started the Lucy Bag for Claire....that is her Spring Vacation project. Last week, I got a package from Knitting on the Square and it was like Christmas again....oh the lovely yarns inside entised me to begin the ruffled cape that Kate designed....I'm sure mine won't look like hers....I have a way of changing the pattern or forgetting to READ the pattern and not wanting to rip out to fix the mistake.

old dogs do learn new tricks.....
I can't say that I am an "Old Dog"...but it really boggles my mind that my kids know how to navigate the computer system with such ease. I am trial and error.... over and over and over....if I was Pavlov's dog, I'd be shocked to death by all my wrong clicks......no cookie for me! Well, it took most of the day and night for me to figure out how to get a new flicker account, upload pictures to show, and put them into my Ravelry projects. I will pat myself on the back for that.
Here is a picture of the sock I am working on, dig the pedicure, hairy leg, and the way the toenail polish matches the walls in the kitchen.... it is called, Spanish Tile...don't think O.P.I. makes that color. Off to the next project.......sleep!

Big Step.....
This is my daughter Claire. She decided it was time for a change. Or else she was tired of me telling her to comb her hair, wash it, pull it back, braid it, etc. So she cut it. I think this was a big step for her, being a middle school student, where hair has everything to do with "who you are" at this age. Claire donated the ponytail (hunk)....she has thick hair....to "Beautiful Lengths" sponsored by Pro-V. Now the battles of hair issues are gone, she smiles at me more; I am more proud of her for making this big step toward growing up and giving to others generously. She is a keeper. :-)
In the stash....
This yarn has been calling to me for weeks now....so I decided to try another attempt at making socks.....BOTH ! This time I am working a simple pattern so I won't get discouraged and quit, rip out, or bury away for a rainy day(lol). LOVE IT! It knits up nicely and the pattern change is quick. Even on size 2 needles. Let's see how long it takes me to finish and actually wear them....shall I "cheat" and make them ankle socks? or go the full length and hit the knee????

It finally took three months and my daughters day off from school to help me get this started....I am totally computer challenged. I used to have a knit shop in NE Ohio, but my husband relocated our whole family to Nashville TN a year ago... the wonderful gal who was my one and only employee.....bought the business and is doing very well....without me...;-(
I try to knit each day....sometimes I get totally distracted and begin NEW projects while there are three or more still in the begining stages.....will I ever have finish-itis?
I hope by starting this blog, I may get the incentive to continue to learn more about knitting, get creative, adding pictures, and hopefully finish something awesome that I will be proud of. I did finish the fetching gloves for my 11 year old daughter for Christmas....I have socks on kneedles for my son(who will graduate from college in May) that will be next on the list of pictures to take.....so bear with me for anyone who wants to know "what's the next stitch" for me...
